The first Medication Cleanout™ event occurred in Amarillo, TX on September 12, 2009. Since that time, there have been 100 Medication Cleanout™ events with thousands of pounds of unwanted medication and sharps safely disposed. These medications are no longer available as a source for poisonings, abuse, misuse or environmental contamination.
